Guatemala | Finca El Socorro
Pacamara Washed
Caramel, Poached Pear, Kumquat
A juicy and vibrant roast with aromas of caramel, milk chocolate, and yellow plum. When sipped, we noted a bright kumquat-like acidity and notes of semi-sweet chocolate and golden raisin. The finish is lightly sweet, with notes of cinnamon, poached pear, and fresh lemon thyme.

Pacamara is a cross between the giant, low-yielding Maragogype variety and the traditional Pacas variety. El Socorro's Pacamara is grown around 1,700 meters, near the Maracaturra lot. Like all of El Socorro's coffees, the coffee is processed directly on the farm.
Juan Diego de La Cerda's Finca El Socorro continues to prove itself one of the best coffee farms in Guatemala, with an enviable trophy case: 1st Place in the Guatemala Cup of Excellence competition in 2007, 2011, 2020, and 2023; 4th place in 2008; and top five in the Coffee of the Year competition in 2012.
The farm's consistent quality made us jump at the chance to become Direct Trade partners with Juan Diego more than a decade ago. We're proud to continue offering El Socorro's excellent coffees year after year.
