This round light roast features sweet aromas of marzipan, mandarin, and wafer cookie. Notes of chocolate orange, lemongrass, and black tea join persimmon acidity in the cup, resolving into an aftertaste of hazelnut creme and oak.

Sergio Ticas and his wife, Isabel, became our first Direct Trade partners nearly 20 years ago. On our first visit it was clear that their commitment to quality and sustainable practices is top priority. They have engaged in various sustainability initiatives over the last few years, like installing a new water recovery system to protect the water supply and purify water used during coffee processing before releasing it back into the ecosystem.
We are proud to have partnered with Finca Los Planes on many projects to help their community and improve the farm since 2007. Providing the surrounding community—many of whom are coffee pickers at Los Planes—with medicines for the clinic and uniforms for the football team have created a solid foundation of trust between the farm and the community. Everyone has a vested interest in a successful harvest each year.

All of our coffees are roasted to order. Orders placed before 4PM Central roast + ship the next business day. Orders placed after 4PM Central on Thursday will roast + ship on Monday.

We recommend ordering Whole Bean and grinding just before you brew for best results. But if you don't have a coffee grinder yet, we're happy to grind it for you. We offer four grind sizes:
• Espresso: a very fine grind suitable for home espresso machines.
• Fine: a fine grind suitable for single-cup pour overs with a cone filter.
• Auto: a medium grind suitable for automatic drip coffee makers.
• Coarse: a coarse grind suitable for French press, cold brew, and percolators.
