Our Granja La Esperanza Farm Box features six (6) ounces each of three (3) stunning naturally-processed rare varietals. The harvests of these coffees were very small, so this is a classic case of quality over quantity:
Mokka Natural: a light-medium roast with notes of prune, lemon zest, and port wine. An uncommon varietal rarely found growing outside of Maui.
Laurina Natural: a light-medium roast with notes of starfruit, honeysuckle, and crème brûlée. This rare mutation of Bourbon has about half the caffeine content of most Coffea arabica.
The coffees are lovingly packaged in a custom box with information about each coffee and the producers.
The final roast of this collection will be Tuesday, November 12th.
The Herrera brothers at Café Granja La Esperanza in Valle del Cauca, Colombia, have earned many accolades from the SCA and the Roasters Guild for their willingness to experiment with rare coffee varieties—and, of course, their expert harvesting and processing. We've worked with them for many years and are consistently impressed by their dedication to improving their crop as well as the lives of their employees.
