This lot was sourced from various producers across Brazil and decaffeinated by InterAmerican Coffee.
The MC process begins by soaking green coffee beans in hot water to extract most of the caffeine. The beans are then removed from the water and a solvent is added to bond with the caffeine molecules. This compound is removed from the water and the coffee is returned to reabsorb the caffeine-free liquid. This method removes 96-97% of the caffeine while maintaining the inherent flavors of the coffee.
