One of our most fruit-forward offerings. This juicy coffee opens with aromas of lemon meringue, strawberry, and mint. Its kiwi sweetness and lime-like acidity play with notes of tamarind, musk melon, and fruit cocktail. We found a pleasant hint of hibiscus in the finish.
Available whole bean in an 8oz or 4oz bag. This coffee roasts and ships on Tuesdays only. Please scroll down for more details.

After picking and careful selection, the cherries are placed in a special tank with a one-way valve for anaerobic fermentation. Fermentation lasts 48 hours in whole cherries. The concentration of sugars in the cherries gives the cup more intense flavors. The temperature during fermentation is controlled every 6 hours so it doesn't exceed 30ºC. When fermentation has completed, the cherries are mechanically dried for 48 hours to quickly reduce their moisture content and then they continue to dry on patios for 8 days.
Nearly a century old, and spread across five farms in Valle del Cauca and Cundinamarca, Café Granja La Esperanza has taken great strides under the Herrera brothers’ leadership and forward-thinking vision. In the last decade, the farm has transitioned away from traditional commodity-market coffees to the delicate and exquisite varieties coveted by the specialty coffee industry.
The Herrera brothers' patience and willingness to experiment with rare varieties has won them numerous accolades from the SCAA and Roasters Guild. They are also known for their fair and innovative production and labor practices. Optimal work conditions are a priority at the estate, where workers are paid fair wages and child labor is not permitted.
