Our new Sumatran offering is incredibly complex, with deep sweetness, refreshing savory characteristics, and sparkling acidity. Aromas of nougat and bell pepper lead to notes of red grape and dark brown sugar in the cup. A round, juicy body and lime acidity resolve into a finish of cocoa nib and sage.

The Story

Imported by our friends at Crop to Cup.

Lintong is an area south of Sumatra's Lake Toba with a long history in specialty coffee, known for producing coffees with sparkling citrus acidity. "Batak" refers to the tribe that inhabits the area, and "Nauli" means "pretty" in the local language. This lot was grown by a relatively new group of 51 smallholders, all of whom are women.
