We are proud to announce that our Colombia Reserva del Patron received a 93 from Coffee Review. Colombia is one of the largest coffee producers in the world, but we are not satisfied with just any coffee from Colombia. We searched high and low for this unique coffee. It is grown in the Nario department of Colombia, one of the best regions for growing coffee. The high elevation, almost 6,000 feet, makes sure that the bean develops slowly and fully. This process creates a smooth, sweet flavor that is rich, buttery and round in the finish. Here is what Ken Davids at Coffee Review has to say about the Reserva del Patron.

Blind Assessment: Distinctive aromatics, sweetly dry fruit notes that suggest black current, blackberry, tart cherry, cedary orange. Lightly syrupy mouthfeel, fine balance. Long, deep finish that stays on the rich side of astringent.

Who should drink it: The crisply sweet, exhilarating dry berry notes are reminiscent of great Kenya coffees. The berryish fruit takes on a distinctly chocolaty cast in milk.
