PT’s Coffee Estate Series

Each year we have the pleasure of bringing some of the highest caliber specialty coffees through our roasting facility. We believe in the connection between the quality of any one coffee and the producers and farmers who work long hours to actualize it. Just like your favorite type of produce, quality is tied to seasonality and harvest cycles. This time of year is especially exciting with Central American harvests arriving and South American harvests expected later this fall. Our Direct Trade partners yielded exceptional coffees from these harvests and we can’t wait to share them with you.

To highlight the significance of these iconic farms and what sets them apart, we present you with the 2015 – 2016 Estate Series. With five unique installments, the Estate Series is split into distinct two categories: estates focusing on processing methods and estates focusing on unique varietals. Each box showcases multiple coffee offerings from one featured farm, and each distinguished farm has produced coffees that are highly acclaimed by coffee lovers around the world. Check out the list below for a sneak peak of what is to come.

Estates focusing on processing methods:

1. Elida Estate — Panama

This box highlights three outstanding coffees from our partners at Elida Estate featuring a Catuai varietal processed three different ways: traditional washed, honey (commonly referred to as pulped natural), and natural. The box includes three 5.5 oz bags of coffee, a brew guide with suggested home brewing parameters, and information on the different processing methods you will experience. 2. Finca Kilimanjaro — El Salvador

Grown on the slopes of the Santa Ana volcano in a micro-climate similar to that of the high slopes of Kenya, the coffee included in this box is particularly exciting. This series features one coffee, Finca Kilimanjaro, processed three ways: pulped natural, natural, and one of Aida’s unique washed processes known as Burundi. This box includes three 5.5 oz bags of coffee, a home brew guide, and information on the processing methods. Estates focusing on unique varietals:

1. Café Granja La Esperanza — Colombia

This box features three high-profile coffees from our friends at Café Granja La Esperanza. In this box you will find Cerro Azul Gesha, Pacamara Natural, and a washed Sudan Rume. Comparing them side by side will give you range of dazzling flavor notes. The box includes three 5.5 oz bags of coffee as well as a brew guide with suggested home brewing parameters. 2. La Palma Y El Tucan — Colombia

The team at La Palma Y El Tucan is nothing short of unique and this box showcases their commitment to innovation. This box features four different coffee varietals: an Ecuadorian Sidra variety uniquely grown in Colombia, a Geisha, an heirloom Typica, and a Kenyan SL28 cultivated in Colombia. This box includes four 50g bags of coffee as well as a brew guide with suggested parameters to make a stellar cup at home. To learn more about La Palma Y El Tucan, click here.

3. El Socorro — Guatemala

The El Socorro box comes with a great line up of Guatemalan coffees produced by Juan Diego De La Cerda. We’ve selected three outstanding coffees including a washed Pacamara, an award-winning Maracaturra, and a Yellow Reserve (a special harvest blend of Yellow Bourbon and Yellow Caturra).
