Project Cold Brew – your chance to win!

If you have hung out at our cafés in College Hill or the Crossroads lately you’ve probably noticed the fleet of paper-wrapped amber bottles chilling in the coolers. These bottled beauties house our selection of cold brewed coffees and have stirred up quite the local buzz. Rich, smooth, and refreshing, these coffees are the perfect treat for a warm, summer day. But what do you do with your bottle when you’re done enjoying the drink? We of course encourage all of our customers to recycle, but we wanted to do something more creative than that. Our team jumped down the Pinterest rabbit hole and found tons of ways to repurpose these bottles, so here’s the deal – we’ll share some of our up-cycling ideas with you, then you share yours with us for a chance to win some PT’s swag and a gift card!

COLD_BREW

Here’s how to play:

  1. Go pick up a bottle of cold brew from PT’s at College Hill or PT’s at the Crossroads.
  2. Pop the top and enjoy your cold brew.
  3. Come up with an idea and up-cycle your bottle, cap, or paper bag.
  4. Snap a photo of your creation and upload it to Instagram. Be sure to tag us @ptscoffee. Don’t forget your hashtag: #projectcoldbrew.

We’ll randomly select one lucky winner on 06/30/2015. Be sure to keep an eye out in your Instagram inbox for a note from us.

1. Turn a bottle cap into a magnet.

This up-cycled creation is really simple. Take one of our bottle caps, some super glue, and a magnet to create your own unique fridge or desk magnet. Not guaranteed to make you a chick/magnet, but feel free to test it out.

2. Transform a bottle into a vase.

Everybody needs a moment to stop and smell the flowers. Once you’ve finished enjoying your cold brew, turn the bottle into a vase. We used acrylic paint and washi tape to take our creation to the next level.

3. Keep your feathered friends happy.

Stop by any home improvement or hardware store and grab a bird feeder base to turn your bottle into a place for birds to fuel up on seed. The birds will love you and you’ll love the birds. In our case, it helped take care of some wasp issues as well.

These are just a few of our ideas, and we’re excited to see what you come up with. Go forth, drink great cold brew, and unleash your creative side.
