Signature Blends
Since 1993, attention to quality and consistency has been the order of business at PT's Coffee Company. Quality coffee has to start in the country of origin. That is why we buy only the best coffees from around the world regardless of price. We sample each coffee prior to purchase to ensure quality. Then we small batch roast the coffee to the peak of perfection just prior to delivery.
Sunrise
Here in the Heartland, the sun has a quiet way of peeking over the horizon before it bursts into its full glory. So here’s our offer of sunshine and warm, Midwestern hospitality: a serene morning coffee that’s crisp and soft, clean and refreshingly mild, followed with a snappy, sweet acidity.
Anna’s Blend
This velvet coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a well-appointed meal. A rich and full cup that is genuinely sweet with a marked acidity and soft finish. Our friend Anna sat in our cafe one wintry afternoon and concocted this blend to warm you, heart and soul. We think she put a little of her smile in it, too.
John Brown
Our surly, activist blend: a serious, polished coffee with a bold heart, rich character and bittersweet, soft finish. During the 1800s, famed abolitionist John Brown took direct, and often dramatic, action to free slaves in the States. Arrested for treason and sentenced to death, Brown's dignified bearing in prison and at his trial moved many spectators. Ralph Waldo Emerson said that Brown's death would make “the gallows as glorious as the cross.”
Harvest Moon
The moon, a deep persimmon-orange orb pregnant with the sun's light, hangs in the evening sky. The crisp fall air beckons languid strolls under the canopy of dust-brown, goldenrod-yellow and crimson-tinged leaves. And these few magical nights of moonlight call for bright, blazing bonfires, marshmallows singed sweetly black and, of course, Thermosfuls of thick, sweet coffee. We've combined the bold, fruity flavors of our Papua New Guinea with a sublime Central American bean to give you a dark roast that's faintly bittersweet, with snap and spice.
Ad Astra
We sifted through stardust to pluck this sparkling coffee jewel. This is our darkest roast of all: An intense, ebony coffee with smoky overtones and low acidity. Flames leap out of the roaster it's so dark.
