PT’s Coffee Roasting Co., began in 1993 as a single coffee shop in Topeka, Kansas. An intense passion for coffee led us to start roasting coffee in 1997. We now roast more than 100 tons of premium, specialty coffee annually for wholesale clients, and operate one retail location in Topeka. Our roasting facility currently houses three roasters, Diedrich IR-5, Diedrich IR-24 and Gothot 90-Kilo.
Recognized for award-winning small lot coffees, PT’s Coffee, is among the leading roasters reviewed by industry resource Coffee Review, having received the guide’s highest ever rating of 97 points. PT’s Coffee was also named Roast Magazine’s 2009 Roaster of the Year. You can read more about this coveted award here. Our passion for coffee does not stop with roasting the best coffee in the world. We are also passionate about its preparation and service. Former PT’s Coffee manager Pete Licata ranked 2nd in competition at the 2007 and 2008 U.S. Barista Championships.
